Stock market: Surging up right from the opening, VN-Index tried one last time in this year to reach 1,500, but still failed. After hovering in a range of 9 points, the index closed at 1498.28, near the highest level of the day. Market breadth was skewed to the negative side with 11 out of 19 sectors gaining, showing that cash flows were focusing on certain stocks. VN30 stocks had 22/30 stocks covered in green. Regarding the transactions of foreign investors, today they were net buyers on both HSX and HNX. Currently, the 1490 level can be considered as a short-term support level of the VN-Index; Hopefully, entering 2022, the market will prosper. Wishing all investors a wealthy new year!

 

Future contracts: Futures contracts all increased according to the movement of the VN30 index. Investors should watch out for short-term contracts.

 

Covered warrants: In the trading session on December 31, 2021, most warrants moved according to the uptrend of the underlying stock.

• VN-Index +12.31 points, closing 1,498.28 points. HNX-Index +12.34 points, closing 473.99 points.

• Pulling the index up: NVL (+2.31), BID (+2.19), VIB (+1.21), HPG (+0.80), TCB (+0.62).

• Pulling the index down: GAS (-0.39), VRE (-0.23), HAG (-0.23), HNG (-0.21), SSI (-0.20).

• The matching value of VN-Index reached VND 24,551 billion, up 16.4% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 26,097 billion.

• The fluctuation range is 9 points. The market had 229 gainers, 44 reference stocks and 242 losers.

• Foreign investors' net buying value: VND 117.37 billion on HOSE, including KBC (VND 60.22 billion), DXG (VND 52.25 billion), STB (VND 27.80 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 12.48 billion.
