Stock market: The supersonic jump from the edge of space to the desert in New Mexico in 2012 is probably not as heartbreaking as the VN-Index's 18-point jump at the opening this morning. The buyers tried to save the situation, but the sellers refused. The two sides struggled and the sellers pushed the buyers down another 8 points. Suddenly, just entering the beginning of the afternoon session, the index strongly turned up and regained 18 points before ending the session. Today's spotlight belonged to the Oil and Gas group when this group maintained its gaining momentum throughout the session, and the Banking group also played the role of a support for this afternoon's gain. Market breadth tilted to the negative side with 13 out of 19 sectors decreasing. Regarding the transactions of foreign investors, today they were a net seller on the HSX and a net buyer on the HNX. In the coming sessions, the market may fluctuate in the 1490-1510 zone.

Future contracts: Futures contracts all fell in line with the movement of the VN30 index. Investors may consider selling short-term contracts.

 

Covered warrants: In the trading session on February 22, 2022, most warrants decreased according to the correcting trend of the underlying stock.

• VN-Index -7.37 points, closed 1503.47 points. HNX-Index -6.56 points, closing at 434.43 points.

• The index pulled up: MBB (+1.77), BID (+0.98), MWG (+0.70), PLX (+0.70), GAS (+0.34).

• Pulling the index down: VIC (-1.51), MSN (-0.82), DIG (-0.78), VHM (-0.77), VCB (-0.71).

• The matched value of VN-Index reached VND 26,970 billion, up 22.57% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 28,237 billion.

• The fluctuation range is 21.57 points. The market had 146 gainers, 30 reference stocks and 319 losers.

• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -107.96 billion on HOSE, including PLX (VND -63,261 billion), NVL (VND -36,050 billion), FRT (VND -31,922 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with a value of VND 120.68 billion.
