Market outlook

Stock market: Struggling around 1300 level throughout the morning session, the VN-Index were finally forced to close down nearly 11 points compared to yesterday by the sellers. The cause of this drop probably came from the group of large-cap stocks when 22/30 stocks in the VN30 group closed in red, and only 6/30 stocks gained. Market breadth tilted to the negative side with 15 out of 19 sectors decreased; however, the Electricity, water & petrol and gas sectors still increased positively. Regarding the transactions of foreign investors, today they were net sellers on both HSX and HNX. The market still hesitates when facing the resistance level of 1300. In the next few sessions, the index might continue to fluctuate around 1280-1300, waiting for the cash flow to push the index up.

Future contracts: The futures contracts mostly dropped according to the movement of the VN30 index. It is recommended that investors consider shorting futures contracts in tomorrow's trading session.

Covered warrants: In the trading session on June 2, 2022, warrants decrease according to the movement of the underlying stock.

Highlights:

VN-Index -10.9 points, closing at 1288.62 points. HNX-Index –3.59 points, closing at 311.77 points.
Pulling the index up: GVR (+0.68), NVL (+0.45), MWG(+0.41), PNJ (+0.38), ACB(+0.31).
Pulling the index down: VCB (-1.77), HPG (-1.31), GAS (-1.01), VHM (-0.88), VPB (-0.66).
The matched value of VN-Index reached VND 13.615 billion, down 1.73% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 16.464 billion.
The trading range is 19.34 points. The market had 123 advancers, 53 reference stocks and 332 losers.
Foreign investors' net selling value: VND 535.34 billion on HOSE, including HPG (VND -160.76 billion), VIC (VND (-98.90 billion), GAS (VND -91.19 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -8.94 billion.
