BSC Brief | 04.02: The consolidation trend continues

MARKET OUTLOOK
VN-Index traded in a wide range before closing at 1,791.43 points, down nearly 22 points from the previous session. The decline was mainly driven by continued weakness in the Vin-related stocks. Market breadth was relatively balanced, with 10 out of 18 sectors posting gains. The Basic Resources sector recorded the strongest increase, followed by Insurance and Media. On the downside, the Real Estate sector led the market’s declines. Regarding foreign investor activity, net selling was recorded on HSX and UPCoM, while a slight net buying was seen on HNX. A positive takeaway is that the market remained well supported above the 50-day SMA today. Investors should continue to maintain a cautious stance when trading in the current environment.

• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -964.31 billion on HOSE, including FPT (VND -584.73 billion), VIC (VND -567.69 billion), VHM (VND -329.69 billion), ACB (VND -193.73 billion), VPB (VND -125.06 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 5.09 billion.
