BSC Brief | 02.03: Market sentiment was negative in today’s session

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index declined by more than 34 points today, closing at 1,846.10 points, with market breadth skewed negative as 13 out of 18 sectors posted losses, led by a sharp drop in the Media sector; meanwhile, the Oil & Gas and Chemicals sectors recorded strong gains amid the Iran conflict threatening global energy supply. Regarding foreign investor activity, net buying was seen on the HSX and HNX, while net selling was observed on the UPCOM. Today’s steep decline reflected broad-based weakness across the market, and investors are advised to remain cautious in the coming sessions, with the next support zone for the VN-Index positioned at 1,820–1,840.

• Foreign investors' net buying value: VND 761.51 billion on HOSE, including HPG (VND 386.73 billion), SSI (VND 212.63 billion), MWG (VND 204.15 billion), PNJ (VND 122.32 billion), KDH (VND 117.82 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 21.77 billion.
