BSC Brief | 10.03: The market rebounded following a sharp correction

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index rebounded to 1,676.73, gaining nearly 24 points from the previous session. Market breadth was positive, with 12 out of 18 sectors advancing. Basic Resources recorded the strongest gains, followed by Personal & Household Goods. On the downside, the Oil & Gas sector declined sharply by 6%. Regarding foreign trading activity, foreign investors were net buyers of more than VND 1 trillion on the HSX while posting net selling on the other two exchanges. The recent deep correction showed signs of stabilizing today; however, market sentiment remains unsettled and price volatility is still high. Investors should therefore trade cautiously. In the coming sessions, the VN-Index may need time to establish a new equilibrium, potentially within the 1,650 – 1,670 range.

• Pulling the index down: VIC (-6.01), GAS (-3.44), BSR (-2.26), GVR (-1.43), PLX (-0.99).
• The matched trade value of VN-Index reached VND 38,210 billion, decreased -0.34% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 41,787 billion.
• The trading range is 65.33 points. The market had 258 gainers, 37 remaining unchanged, 88 losers.
• Foreign investors' net buying value: VND 1128.99 billion on HOSE, including HPG (VND 581.30 billion), MWG (VND 561.61 billion), FPT (VND 317.48 billion), VNM (VND 222.25 billion), BSR (VND 158.59 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -53.14 billion.
