BSC Brief | 03.04: The market is still seeking a point of equilibrium following last week’s rebound

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index declined by nearly 11 points today, closing at 1,684.04. Market breadth remained negative, with 15 out of 18 sectors posting losses, led by Industrial Goods & Services, followed by Retail and Basic Resources, among others. On the upside, the Insurance sector recorded a positive session. Regarding foreign investor activity, net selling resumed on the HSX with a value of approximately VND 1.5 trillion, while net buying was observed on both the HNX and UPCOM exchanges. The market is still in the process of finding an equilibrium following last week’s recovery.

• Pulling the index up: VIC (+1.85), VHM (+1.16), LPB (+0.86), GAS (+0.52), BSR (+0.49).
• Pulling the index down: HPG (-1.12), GEE (-1.03), BID (-0.96), TCB (-0.90), VCB (-0.89).
• The matched trade value of VN-Index reached VND 18,895 billion, decreased -8.38% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 21,155 billion.
• The trading range is 34.16 points. The market had 78 gainers, 63 remaining unchanged, 233 losers.
• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -1568.82 billion on HOSE, including VHM (VND -456.62 billion), HPG (VND -217.39 billion), MWG (VND -175.64 billion), VPB (VND -170.86 billion), HDB (VND -147.38 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 32.15 billion.
