BSC Brief | 16.04: The Vin group of stocks continued to drive the market higher

MARKET OUTLOOK
The Vin group of stocks continued to lead the market’s upward momentum in today’s session. The VN-Index closed at 1,819.83 points, gaining nearly 20 points compared to the previous day. Market breadth was negative, with 13 out of 18 sectors declining, led by sharp losses in the Industrial Goods & Services and Financial Services sectors. On the other hand, the Real Estate sector remained a key outperformer, rising by more than 5%. Regarding foreign flows, investors continued to record net selling on the HSX while maintaining net buying on the other two exchanges. The rally, driven by a limited number of large-cap stocks, may lack sustainability. Investors are therefore advised to adopt a cautious approach in the current market environment.

• The matched trade value of VN-Index reached VND 22,475 billion, increased 1.47% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 27,961 billion.
• The trading range is 24.85 points. The market had 105 gainers, 60 remaining unchanged, 213 losers.
• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -1153.86 billion on HOSE, including FPT (VND -523.81 billion), VHM (VND -462.98 billion), HCM (VND -118.42 billion), VIX (VND -98.76 billion), NVL (VND -76.43 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 23.04 billion.
