BSC Brief | 12.05: VN-Index volatile at elevated levels

MARKET OUTLOOK
VN-Index fell to the 1,875 level before rebounding in the afternoon session and closing at 1,901.10 points, up nearly 6 points compared to yesterday. Market breadth was relatively balanced with 12 out of 18 sectors advancing, led by Oil & Gas, followed by Insurance and Chemicals. On the other hand, the Industrial Goods & Services sector corrected after its previous rally. Regarding foreign trading activity, foreign investors recorded net selling across all three exchanges: HSX, HNX, and UPCOM. Cash flow is mainly rotating among sectors in search of short-term gains, while the overall trend remains unclear. The market is currently forming a new equilibrium zone.

FUTURES CONTRACTS
41I1G6000 and 41I1G5000 increased in line with the VN30 index, while 41I1GC000 and 41I1G9000 decreased.

• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -820.64 billion on HOSE, including FPT (VND -171.58 billion), VHM (VND -154.28 billion), MSB (VND -136.71 billion), ACB (VND -129.58 billion), VCB (VND -86.70 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -2.83 billion.
