BSC Brief | 13.05: The VN-Index is searching for a new equilibrium level

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index fluctuated and fell to the 1,865 level before bottom-fishing demand emerged, helping the index recover, narrow its losses, and close at 1,898.37 points, down nearly 3 points from the previous session. Decliners outnumbered advancers, while 13 out of 18 sectors posted gains, indicating that capital flows were concentrated in selected stocks within each sector. Oil & Gas and Utilities led the gains, while Real Estate recorded the sharpest decline. Regarding foreign flows, investors recorded net selling on HSX and HNX, while net buying was observed on UPCOM. The market is still searching for a new equilibrium and trading remains relatively fragile; investors are advised to maintain a cautious stance during this period.

• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -1470.89 billion on HOSE, including FPT (VND -382.74 billion), ACB (VND -259.94 billion), VHM (VND -242.32 billion), STB (VND -193.12 billion), VIC (VND -155.96 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -60.32 billion.
