BSC Brief | 21.05: The VN-Index is still searching for a new equilibrium level

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index fluctuated within the 1,886–1,924 range and closed at 1,896.89 points, down more than 16 points compared to the previous session. Market breadth was relatively balanced, with 10 out of 18 sectors declining, led by Oil & Gas and Chemicals, followed by Real Estate and Industrial Goods & Services. On the other hand, the Retail and Insurance sectors gained more than 2%. Regarding foreign flows, investors recorded net selling across all three exchanges—HSX, HNX, and UPCOM. Overall, the market has yet to confirm a clear upward or downward trend, while low liquidity reflects cautious investor sentiment. Investors are advised to maintain a cautious trading stance during this period.
