BSC Brief | 16.06: Market participation broadened, but buying momentum remained weak

MARKET OUTLOOK
After fluctuating within the 1,799–1,812 range throughout the session, the VN-Index closed at 1,807.94 points, up nearly 9 points from the previous day. Market breadth tilted positive, with 13 out of 18 sectors advancing, led by Financial Services, followed by Personal & Household Goods. Regarding foreign flows, investors recorded net selling on HSX and HNX, while modest net buying was observed on UPCOM. Capital flows showed broader participation across the market; however, overall buying demand remained weak, leaving the VN-Index largely driven by Vin-related stocks. The index continues to consolidate around the 1,800 level, with no clear signs of a trend reversal yet.
