BSC Brief | 15.07: The market traded with limited consensus

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index fell by 24.51 points today and closed at 1,782.12 points. Market breadth skewed negative, with 17 out of 18 sectors declining. Information technology posted the steepest decline, followed by personal & household goods and oil & gas. On the upside, insurance was the only sector that managed to stay in positive territory. Regarding foreign trading, foreign investors recorded net selling across all three exchanges: HSX, HNX, and UPCoM. From a technical perspective, the market retested the SMA200 in today’s session. If this level is breached, the VN-Index may retreat to the 1,760-point area, and further to the 1,719-point area, corresponding to the Fibonacci 0.5 and 0.618 levels. Amid mixed market performance and an unclear trend, investors should prioritize risk management and maintain a cautious stance.
