MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index gained nearly 9 points today, closing at 1,776.77 points. Market breadth was broadly positive, with 16 out of 18 sectors advancing. Chemicals posted the strongest gains, followed by Utilities and Retail. On the downside, only two sectors declined: Real Estate and Travel & Leisure. Regarding foreign investor activity, foreign investors were net sellers on the HSX while recording slight net buying on the HNX and UPCOM. Today’s gains were relatively broad-based across sectors. However, the appearance of a Doji candlestick around the SMA200 resistance level suggests that indecisive sentiment remains dominant. In the next session, the market is likely to continue testing the area around the SMA200.
