BSC Brief | 13.08: Strong resistance at 1,800 pushed the VN-Index down by nearly 28 points.

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index traded sideways below the 1,800-point threshold throughout the morning session before falling sharply in the afternoon. The index closed at 1,765.63 points, down nearly 28 points from the previous session. Market breadth was negative, with 14 out of 18 sectors declining. Real Estate led the losses, followed by Information Technology. Regarding foreign investor activity, foreign investors were net sellers on the HSX while recording net buying on the HNX and UPCOM. Resistance around the 1,800-point level remains relatively strong; therefore, stronger liquidity support is needed for the market to break above this threshold.

• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -573.27 billion on HOSE, including TCB (VND -170.18 billion), VHM (VND -159.61 billion), VIC (VND -126.51 billion), HPG (VND -106.65 billion), ACB (VND -92.85 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 3.02 billion.
