BSC Brief | 25.08: The VN-Index continued to seek equilibrium around the 1,800-point level

MARKET OUTLOOK
Buying demand in the morning session helped the VN-Index break above the 1,800-point level and rise toward 1,810 points, before selling pressure returned and pushed the index down to close at 1,791.41 points, up slightly by 2.63 points (+0.15%) from the previous session. Market breadth was negative, with 14 out of 18 sectors declining. Oil & Gas posted the steepest loss, followed by Basic Resources and Retail. In contrast, Real Estate led the gains. Regarding foreign investor activity, foreign investors were net buyers across all three exchanges—HSX, HNX, and UPCoM. The market remained volatile around the 1,800-point resistance level; on a positive note, the VN-Index continued to close above the SMA200. The market has yet to establish a clear trend, and investors are advised to continue trading cautiously at this stage.
