BSC Brief | 14.09: VN-Index struggles around the 1,800 level

MARKET OUTLOOK
VN-Index fluctuated within the 1,775–1,800 range during today’s session and closed at 1,788.23 points, down nearly 7 points from the previous session. Market breadth was negative, with 14 out of 18 sectors declining. Construction & Materials recorded the steepest loss, followed by Industrial Goods & Services and Retail. In contrast, Insurance and Oil & Gas led the gains. Regarding foreign trading, foreign investors were net buyers on HSX and UPCoM, while recording net selling on HNX. VN-Index was unable to break above the 1,800 level during today’s session. Investors are advised to remain cautious given the possibility that the index may continue to retreat to fill the downside gap in the 1,768–1,778 range.

• Foreign investors' net buying value: VND 821.67 billion on HOSE, including VPB (VND 149.37 billion), MBB (VND 136.01 billion), TCB (VND 131.16 billion), FPT (VND 117.23 billion), VCB (VND 95.46 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -21.99 billion.
