BSC Brief | 17.09: Banking stocks led the market today

MARKET OUTLOOK
VN-Index fluctuated around the 1,820 level for most of today’s session and closed at 1,822.77 points, up nearly 13 points from the previous session. Market breadth was positive, with 13 out of 18 sectors gaining. Financial Services led the advance, followed by Media and Retail. Regarding foreign trading, foreign investors were net sellers on HSX and HNX, while recording slight net buying on UPCoM. Although the market posted a positive session with improved liquidity, trading in the coming sessions may remain volatile due to ETF portfolio rebalancing activities. Investors are advised to continue trading cautiously.

• The trading range is 28.93 points. The market had 200 gainers, 63 remaining unchanged, 114 losers.
• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -359.42 billion on HOSE, including VHM (VND -185.74 billion), VIC (VND -183.40 billion), VIX (VND -159.65 billion), DMX (VND -117.53 billion), SSI (VND -53.64 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -33.59 billion.
