BSC Brief | 16.10: VN-Index holds above 1,700, but bottom-fishing demand remains weak

MARKET OUTLOOK
VN-Index traded within a range of 1,696–1,714 today and closed at 1,705.91 points, up nearly 8 points from the previous session. Market breadth was positive, with 15 of 18 sectors advancing. Travel & Leisure and Personal & Household Goods gained more than 1%, while the remaining sectors saw no significant changes from the previous session. Foreign investors were net sellers across all three exchanges, including HSX, HNX, and UPCOM. Buying support emerged when VN-Index fell below the 1,700 level; however, bottom-fishing demand remained weak. Investors should continue to trade cautiously as the market fluctuates around this psychological level.
