Market outlook
VN-Index once again failed to conquer the old resistance level of 1,280. The index surged to this level but selling pressure pushied it down to close at 1,268.48 points, a nearly 4-point decline compared to the previous session. Market breadth leaned towards the negative, with 14 out of 18 sectors declining, led by Media and Oil & Gas. On the other hand, Insurance was the strongest performer today. Regarding foreign transactions, foreign investors were net buyers on both the HSX and HNX exchanges. The consolidation around the 1,270 level shows no signs of ending.
