BSC Brief | 02.02: The SMA is serving as a support level

MARKET OUTLOOK
The VN-Index fell right from the morning open to 1,775. It then rebounded from this level, narrowing the decline, and closed at 1,806.50—down more than 22 points from yesterday. Market breadth was negative, with 12 out of 18 sectors declining. Real Estate recorded the steepest drop, followed by Personal & Household Goods. On the upside, Oil & Gas and Insurance posted positive trading sessions. Regarding foreign flows, foreign investors were net sellers of nearly VND 2.5 trillion on the HSX today. The SMA50 acted as a support level for the market. The market is still in the process of building a base above 1,800; however, price action needs to become tighter.

• The matched trade value of VN-Index reached VND 29,673 billion, increased 8.40% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 31,985 billion.
• The trading range is 50.06 points. The market had 128 gainers, 41 remaining unchanged, 210 losers.
• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -2466.93 billion on HOSE, including VIC (VND -543.58 billion), VHM (VND -330.28 billion), VCB (VND -192.74 billion), VRE (VND -176.98 billion), HPG (VND -140.22 billion). Foreign investors were net sellers on HNX with the value of VND -34.30 billion.
