BSC Brief | 06.10: VN-Index gains, but resistance pressure remains

MARKET OUTLOOK
VN-Index traded within a range of 1,734–1,764 today and closed at 1,759.08 points, up nearly 6 points from the previous session. Eleven of 18 sectors advanced, with Financial Services, Travel & Leisure, and Oil & Gas gaining between 1.2% and 2.4%. In contrast, Media, Personal & Household Goods, and Information Technology fell by more than 2%. The remaining sectors saw no significant movements. Foreign investors recorded net selling of more than VND2 trillion on HSX, while remaining net buyers on HNX and UPCOM. In the near term, VN-Index faces resistance at the upward gap of 1,768–1,778. Market trading remains fragmented and unstable, while recent rebounds have yet to show broad-based participation. Investors should continue to trade cautiously.

• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -2613.38 billion on HOSE, including HDB (VND -1957.65 billion), VJC (VND -770.72 billion), PNJ (VND -101.61 billion), TCB (VND -85.50 billion), ACB (VND -69.70 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 87.27 billion.
