Market outlook
The VN-Index dropped to 1,217 points in the morning session and showed a slight recovery at the beginning of the afternoon session before closing at 1,218.57 points, marking a decline of -1.08% compared to the previous session. Market breadth was skewed towards the negative side, with 16/18 sectors recording losses. The Communication sector led the decline, followed by Financial Services, Retail, and others. On the other hand, the Insurance and Industrial Goods & Services sectors posted gains. Foreign investors continued their net selling trend, with a net sell value of VND 1,429.54 billion, the highest since November. The selling pressure is gaining strength, as evidenced by the increased liquidity today. The VN-Index may continue to trend lower, potentially heading towards the support level of 1,200 points.
