MARKET OUTLOOK
VN-Index declined right from the opening and spent the entire session trading sideways within the range of 1,755–1,785 before falling to close at 1,755.49 points, down more than 27 points from the previous session. Market breadth was negative, with 16 out of 18 sectors recording losses. Personal & Household Goods posted the steepest decline, down nearly 5%, followed by Financial Services and Basic Resources. Regarding foreign trading activity, foreign investors were net sellers on the HSX and UPCOM, while net buyers on the HNX. Selling pressure has shown signs of increasing ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, and investors are advised to trade cautiously.
