Market outlook
VN-Index went up to 1,294 in the morning session before being pushed down by profit-taking pressure and closed at 1,281.08, down nearly 6 points compared to yesterday. Market breadth tilted to the negative side with 15/18 industries decreasing, of which the Oil and Gas industry decreased the most. On the contrary, the Retail sector led the increase today, followed by the Basic Resources and Banking sectors. Regarding foreign transactions, today they were net sellers on both the HSX and HNX exchanges. The market is facing certain resistance as it approaches the 1,300-point range, with the index retreating to test the SMA20 line during a session marked by significant foreign net selling. Investors should trade cautiously in the upcoming sessions.
