Market outlook  

Stock market: Opening with a gap down, VN-Index struggled in the range of 1,020-1,030 all day today and closed at 1,021.25, down more than 18 points compared to the previous session. Market breadth skewed to the negative side with 17 out of 19 sectors dropping, of which the biggest decliners were Personal & Household Goods, Retail, Financial Services, and Basic Resources. Regarding the transactions of foreign investors, today they continued to net sell on the HSX and slightly net buy on the HNX. The market lacks growth momentum and is quite risky with a large fluctuation. Investors should be careful in the next trading sessions.
 
Future contracts: Futures contracts decreased with the movement of VN30. It is recommended that investors trade cautiously in the coming sessions.
 
Covered warrants: In the trading session on February 27, 2023, covered warrants fluctuated along with the downtrend of the underlying stocks.
 
Highlights:
• VN-Index -18.31 points, closing at 1021.25. HNX-Index -4.06 points, closing at 203.27.
• Pulling the index up: VJC (+0.32), VNM (+0.27), PGV (+0.06), PDN (+0.05), PVD (+0.03).
• Pulling the index down: MSN (-2.01), GAS (-1.19), HPG (-1), VCB (-0.84), CTG (-0.83).
• The matched value of VN-Index reached VND 7,736 billion, increased 31.3% compared to the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 9,330 billion.
• The trading range is 14.04 points. The market had 66 advancers, 40 reference stocks, 371 decliners.
• Foreign investors' net selling value: VND -658.15 billion on HOSE, including FUEVFVND (-168.41 billion), VHM (-75.99 billion), SSI (-75 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on HNX with the value of VND 0.2 billion.
