TMT Motor Joint Stock Company, formerly TMT Automobile Joint Stock Company, is a Vietnam-based manufacturer of automobiles, light trucks and motorcycles. The Company also trades motor vehicle spare parts and provides repair and maintenance services for automobiles and motorcycles. It trades petroleum and electronic products, as well as interior decorations. In addition, it is involved in the provision of freight transportation services and the construction of traffic structures.

TMT Motor Joint Stock Company was original Material Company, which was established on Oct 27, 1976 under the Mechanical Bureau of the Ministry of Transport.
In 1980, the company was renamed Transport Mechanical Materials and Equipment Company and was re-established as a state-company following Decision No. 602/QD.TCCB-LD dated Apr 05, 1993 of the Ministry of Transport.
On Sept 01, 1988, it was renamed Transport Equipment, Material Manufacturing and Commercial Company (TMT) following Decision No. 2195/1998 QD-BGTVT of the Ministry of Transport.
In Apr 2006, the Ministry of Transport approved the company’s equitization plan following Decision No. 870/QD-BGTVT dated Apr 14, 2006.
On Dec 14, 2006, it was granted business registration certificate for joint stock company No. 0103014956.
On Jan 22, 2010, the company’s shares were officially listed on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange.
According to its 8th adjustment of business registration certificate on Sept 16, 2010, the company’s charter capital was VND 284.502.360.000.
In 2014, its charter capital was adjusted to VND 308.391.170.000.
On Feb 20, 2016, its charter capital was adjusted to VND 323.391.170.000.
