Dong Trieu Viglacera Joint Stock Company was previously known as Dong Trieu Brick & Tile Factory found in 1965.
According to Decision No. 1014/BKT-TCCB dated June 21st, 1971 issued by the Minister of Architecture, the factory was put under the management of the Ministry of Architecture with the task of producing 7,000,000 units of bricks and 800,000 units of tiles per year.
According to Decision No. 122/BKT-KH dated October 25th, 1972 issued by the Ministry of Architecture, the factory was permitted to expanding and installing brick production system with 4 machines and constructing a brick drying-8 chamber tunnel system with value of 2,000,000 VND from the state’s capital.
In 1974, Dong Trieu Brick and Tile Factory was transferred to Construction Brick – Tile - Porcelain Factory belonging to Ministry of Construction (now known as the Vietnam Glass And Ceramic for Construction Corporation). Later, Dong Trieu Brick and Tile Factory was merged with Dong Trieu Silicate Tile Factory to form Dong Trieu Brick Factory.
According to Decision No 953/BXD-TCCB dated Jul 01, 1980 of the Minister of Construction, Dong Trieu Brick and Tile Factory was separated from Dong Trieu Brick Factory and became an independent economic unit as of Oct 01, 1980.
On Mar 24th, Dong Trieu Brick and Tile Factory was re-established.
On Apr 21st, 1993, Dong Trieu Flower Tile plant (formerly known as Dong Trieu Silicate Tile Factory) was merged into Dong Trieu Brick & Tile Factory.
On January 2nd, 1996, the factory was renamed to Dong Trieu Construction Ceramic Company.
On Jan 14, 2004, Dong Trieu Construction Ceramic Company was converted into a joint stock company with the new name Dong Trieu Vigalacera Joint Stock Company. The company officially came into operation under business registration certificate No. 22.03.000226 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Quang Ninh province, with initial charter capital of VND 4.5 billion.
On Dec 25, 2006, the company’s shares were officially listed on Ha Noi Securities Trading Center (now known as Ha Noi Stock Exchange).
As of Dec 31, 2008, the company’s charter capital was VND 10 billion.
According to the company's 6th adjustment in business registration, its charter capital was adjusted to VND 40.000.000.000 VND
It voluntarily delisted its share in HNX on Feb 20, 2013 to switch to UpCom listing.
